Mini Mac Haul Nov/11

Mac Haul

I love Mac. I haven't bought anything from there in a long time. So last time I was close to one I stopped by the counter. They had all their adorable holiday collections out but I was good and only picked up two things!

Dazzlesphere Coral Ornament //Holiday Collection $38.50 Canadian

Cute packaging! Two Cremesheen mini glosses and two mini Dazzleglasses come in this festive sphere ornament. Richer, Lusher (Cremesheen) is a pretty peach coral, On The Scene (Cremesheen) is a light coral pinky-beige, Eurobeat (Dazzleglass) is a peach coral with gold pearl and Phiff! (Dazzleglass) is a sheer beige peach. Great Christmas gift or stocking stuffer.

Richer,Lusher, On The Scene, Eurobeat,Phiff!

Creme d'Nude Cremesheen Lipstick //Permanent $16.50 Canadian

Peach beige lipstick with a nice finish and goes on smooth. Doesn't leaves lips feeling dry. I have always wanted to try this one.

Keep Your Feet Warm!

...With Cute Boots!

Lately I've been really loving boots. Below are a few pairs that I think are super cute/comfy looking for the winter season.

Colin Stuart Faux Fur Pom-Pom boot from Victoria's Secret. I love the leopard and fake fur! The bottom of the boot looks very durable but I don't think I would like to get the fur wet with snow. Very cute boots though!

UGG Classic Short Sparkles Boot from UGG Australia

I love my UGG boots so I already know these would be super comfy and warm and the sparkles! They get me every time.

Fur Trim Bow Side Ankle Boot from Gojane.com

Adorable little bows add great detail to these suede fur lined cute boots.

Strappy Platform Bootie from Gojane.com

Stylish little bootie maybe not so snow friendly but very cute all the same.

Winter Favourites!

Winter Loves

A few of my favourite winter items:

Lush Snowcake Soap

Only available around the Christmas season, this soap smells amazing like almond marzipan and is so creamy and lathers well. Leaves my skin feeling clean and moisturized. The name itself sounds delicious.

Smith's Lip Balm Minted Rose

Cute packaging and smells like peppermint. Leaves my lips feeling soft. I hate chapped lips in the winter and this prevents them.

Thick Moisturizer Cream/Lotion

One of my new favourites is Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula. I did a blog post on it previously. Thick and non-greasy, great for dry winter skin and also for scars and marks.

Comfy Boots & Slippers

A good pair of winter boots for outside to keep your feet nice and warm and a cozy pair of slippers for inside when you are at home watching Christmas movies and all that other fun stuff.

Hot Chocolate

I like any kind of HC but I have been buying a lite version to make at home that has 45 calories per package so I can drink more of it all winter (and all year long).

What are some of your winter favourites?

From the box: Apple Cinnamon tea is a fragrant blend of sweet apple and delicate spices delicious and caffeine free. If you like tea give this one a try.

I Love Juicy

Lush I Love Juicy Shampoo

This shampoo smells amazing! Reminds me of a fruity, candy smell. From the bottle: Juicy, fresh fruit shampoo with mango, pineapple, kiwi and papaya for cleaning greasy hair. Wet hair, shampoo once, rinse clean for fruity hair.

I have gone through several bottles of this shampoo (not using it right now because I have colour-treated my hair, so I am using a shampoo for red hair) and I love it. It lathers so well, cleans thoroughly and of course smells great. My hair gets oily easily and this works really great. Keeps the oil away for longer without drying out my hair and all while making it feel really clean.

I wish they made a I Love Juicy conditioner. Lush makes one called Veganese for oily hair (smells like lemons!) which I have tried and I do like it but I prefer American Cream. I have had the big bottle and it lasted for months and the smaller bottle is great for travel and takes up no room in the shower. This is one of my favourite products. Ever.

Nails Of The Moment...Nov 11/11

I Want To Be A Lone Star & Rainbow Connection

I Want To Be A Lone Star (Texas Collection) and Rainbow Connection (Muppets Collection) by OPI. Lone Star is a pale sky blue and Rainbow is a multicolour glitter, with silver, red, green etc.

Perfect for the holiday season! The glitter has a clear base so I used it over the pretty Lone Star colour. I am loving this combination. I used two coats of Lone Star and two coats of Rainbow followed by a top coat.

Would You Rather Beauty Tag

Would You Rather...Fun Beauty Tag

1. Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up, or nice hair and no make-up?
Nice hair and no makeup. I have left the house many times without makeup but wouldn't be able to leave with messy hair.

2. Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?
Both would be horrible, but if I had to pick I would say eyelashes, because you could at least wear fake ones.

3. Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?
I love MAC, but I would choose Sephora as they have a lot more of a range of products and different brands.

4. Would you rather wear the lip gloss/lip liner look or 80's perm?
Lip gloss/lip liner look, although to be honest, not 100% sure what it looks like! I do know I would not want an 80's perm.

5. Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?
Overdone blush for sure!

6. Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?
MC Hammer pants haha.

7. Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?
Both sound awful but I would choose tans Lines as I am not a fan of the orange look!

8. Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?
Hair colour. I once put blond in my hair and it didn't turn out and I had orange hair. I survived.

9. Would you rather have YouTube or twitter taken away forever?
Twitter. I check Twitter everyday but I could not live without my YouTube videos. It's my cable!

10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?
Makeup brushes. I adore mascara.

Not a new tag but I always wanted to answer the questions. Write your answers in the comments below!

They're Real!

Benefit They're Real! Mascara

I first heard about this on YouTube while I was watching my normal beauty videos, so when I saw it I wanted to try it for myself. According to the box, They're Real mascara lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts and separates. It's a jet black mascara that is long wearing and won't smudge or dry out.

Directions: Position wand horizontally and wiggle from side to side, base to tip, to achieve maximum volume, length and lift. Hold the wand vertically and stroke upward to curl and separate. Layer generously as desired

What I loved is that it did all those things and you could apply several coats without it getting clumpy or flaking. The end of the mascara wand has a little ball like tip that really gets hard to reach lashes and I like to use it at the end in a upward motion to add a little more volume

Overall all I really like this mascara and the packaging is great too. Price was a little high in Canada for mascara $29 but I used my Shoppers points and got it for free.

Take Your Scent Anywhere!

Travalo-Refillable Atomizer Bottle

This little fragrance spray bottle caught my eye when I saw it. I have a lot of perfumes and only a few travel sized ones. The idea of making your own is really cool.

This image from Travalo website

Travalo is aircraft approved, so you can bring it with you in your carry on and it holds approximately 50 fragrance sprays. It comes in a variety of colours and you can buy it online @ Travalo. I purchased mine at Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada for around $12.00.

You just remove the nozzle from your perfume bottle, I used my Viva La Juicy perfume. Place the Travalo in position and pump until the bottle is filled. Easy and spill free. I will definitely be getting more of these for my other perfumes. Simple and Cute!
